Bud Walton Arena was packed on Friday as more than 10,000 elementary students cheered on the Lady Razorbacks. The Arkansas Razorbacks took on UAPB during Elementary Day, and the energy was unmatched! Students, teachers, and staff attended for free, and the Lady Razorbacks brought home a big win with a final score of 101 to 49. BEST DAY EVER ! 🏀❤️🐗

Asbell Elementary honored Veterans Day with a special assembly this week! Third grade teacher Chenel Dale shared her journey of service in the National Guard, encouraging students to stay strong through challenges. The Asbell staff choir also performed a special song recognizing each branch of the armed forces.

On November 11th we will be observing Veteran's Day. We encourage students, parents, and staff to wear red, white, & blue on that day to show our support.

All Fayetteville Public Schools fourth graders filled the FHS Performing Arts Center for two performances of “The Orchestra Moves,” an interactive concert experience brought to life by the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program. ​The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission visited Asbell Elementary, bringing along a mobile aquarium filled with a variety of native fish species. Students were excited to learn about the diverse fish found in Arkansas's lakes and rivers and enjoyed observing them up close. Thank you to Fishing Education Specialist Mallory Woodward for sharing her exceptional knowledge and expertise during the visit.

Former FPS Superintendent Dr. John L Colbert has been sharing the joy of reading all week, bringing “Green Eggs and Ham” to life alongside FPS teacher Tamara Ridout at several of our elementary schools during Read Across America Week.
