Partnership Benefits Kids & Parents

New Partnership to Benefit Fayetteville Kids and Parents:

Fayetteville Adult Education and Yvonne Richardson Community Center have joined together to offer a new opportunity for learning for both kids and parents.

The Yvonne Richardson Center has energized its afterschool/evening program by offering five nights of homework help, food, physical activity and computer lab time. Three nights per week—Monday, Wednesday and Friday—meals are provided to kids by the Promise Land Food Program. On Tuesday and Thursdays, snacks are provided. Best of all, homework help is available all five nights. It all begins at 3:30.

Just a few blocks away, parents can attend Fayetteville Adult Education evening classes. Reading, Writing, Math, GED preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL) are offered for FREE to adults. Basic Skills and GED Prep are offered from 4:30 to 7:30 Monday through Thursday with computer lab time on Wednesdays. ESL is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30.

This means FREE childcare for school age children for parents who want to participate in an adult education program. A great learning opportunity for the entire family!
