Help needed with haunted house flyer

One of the fun traditions of Washington Elementary School is the Fall Festival. As 4th Grade Parents, you (along with your 4th Grade accomplices) are tasked with creating and managing the Haunted House in the basement – also a wonderful school tradition.

This year, the Fall Festival is scheduled for Friday, October 25. As an FYI, there is no school that day so that might have an impact.

Recently, we disposed of many of the decorations and props that were previously used for the Haunted House: items that were broken, moldy, or old and disgusting.

As such, we will need to purchase new items to help refresh and update the haunted house.

I am needing to know who is interested in helping decide what new items to purchase and plan for this year’s Haunted House. If no 4th Grade Parents are interested in selecting what items to purchase, I’ll just plan on purchasing some items that I think will work well.

It’s important to note that while we do want the haunted house to be scary, we need to keep in mind that this is an elementary school and the content needs to be age-appropriate and not too gruesome, frightening, or inappropriate. More thrilling and creepy, less gruesome and horrific. I’ve uploaded some images to this post for reference.

If you are interested in helping plan this year’s haunted house and deciding what new items to purchase, please comment on this post or call/text/email me to let me know: 479-466-1641 or melner18@yahoo.com

P.S. If you don't have a 4th Grader, but really want to help with this, please reach out to me. This volunteer opportunity is not limited to 4th Grade families. I welcome any and all eager haunted house decorating enthusiasts!
